Beautiful Living Art

My motto is to live your life as if it's a living piece of art.  This description I took from  two main sources; the Japanese Geisha (or Geiko in the Kyoto dialect).  I have an obsession, fascination, and respect for the Geisha world.  To me they represent high art style.  The other admired high art I love is ballet.  These two art cultures really inspire what I believe is beauty.

I love beautiful things and discipline.  I want to live in what I consider a beautiful way.  What is a "beautiful way"?  A beautiful way can be as many ways as there are people in the world!  My way of life and what I consider beautiful will be different from yours and that is perfectly OK... :)
Let me share just a few ways in what I consider my way of achieving a beautiful way of living.

1. Healthy Eating: I am not the best with healthy eating.  However, I have improved.  I lost 7 lbs and have kept it off because I changed my eating habits.  I want to eat much cleaner than I am now but there has been improvement.  There are a lot more vegetables that go into my diet and fewer calories.  Cucumbers and olives at the moment are my favorite vegetables.
2. Exercise:  Can I be the one to say,  I hate exercising!  Hate might be too strong of a word, instead let me be truthful and say...I'm too LAZY for exercise.  lol.  This is the truth.  When I get into the exercise and I get a great work out going I feel pumped to do even more!  It is getting started that is the main problem.  But, I do at least 40 crunches a day.  Not much by any means but I feel it keeps my blood flowing a bit.  Exercise has also helped my mind.  It keeps me feeling balanced, happier, and more positive.
3. Skin Care: My skin is a bit acne prone and I get dark blemish spots so I am always looking for great products.  My mother and I also make our own skin care line. The great thing about our skin care products is that they are organic with no man made chemicals that can do harm to the skin.  I will speak more on these products in a later post.  ^_^ But yes, clear and clean skin is a beauty expression for me.
4. Daily Learning:  The mind is the first place to start with beauty in my opinion (hence, my point on exercise).  I don't need to learn the heaviest material on a daily basis but I'm always being open to learning and picking up new ideas.  As humans I believe we should always try to evolve our mind because the mind is a beautiful thing. :)
5. Shopping:  Need I explain?  lol.  I love to shop!  High and low fashion.  I have not always had the best fashion and I constantly make fashion mistakes and waste money on items.  However, I am improving.  Probably, I should be an expert already but I'm a little slow, lol.  I sometimes buy on impulse or because it is trendy and not what is really flattering to my body or personality.  But, for me, how I dress is another expression of beauty.
6. Cold Beer *lol*:  Yes, quite weird, I know.  I like to try all sorts of beers.  Instead of a wine taster I'm a beer taster!  After a long day of work, a nice cold beer or two relaxes me.  I guess, what is beautiful is to take time for myself and allow myself to daydream and think with no pressure.  So, a cold beer is a bit of "me time"...and this contributes to  living beautifully.
7. Hygiene:  Hygiene, hygiene, hygiene!  I can not stress this enough.  I may not be the richest to buy the most elegant clothing.  Or, the healthiest in exercise and proper eating, but I do have cleanliness.  Admittedly, I can be a little junky, especially my room.  But showers and brushing the teeth twice a day (among other hygienic practices) are the foundation to my art; me.

Well, that is a little bit about me!  And what I hope to convey in future blog posts.  So remember, your life is like art.  Draw and paint and color all your desires the way you see fit.
